SubscribeStar Website Gets Shutdown By PayPal & Stripe

SUBSCRIBESTAR (subscribestar.com) Just announced that they are in the process of integrating a new payment processor for their platform. As of Monday December 17, 2018 it was announced that Paypal and Stripe both payment processors they use to accept payments for their creators have banned them from their platforms. Although all of the facts have not been reported this does come on the cusp of the Patreon boycotting controversy that started last week. If you're unaware of the patreon banning news I suggest looking into the banning of Sargon of Akaad and other creators that were politically motivated. We need to talk about @Patreon and what appears to be a common move to create frameworks to selectively ban those who are not “woke-compliant”. There is a full flip where “Trust and Safety” means neither. The effect is to make it impossible to have adult discussions on platforms. — Eric Weinstein (@EricRWeinstein) December 16, 2018 SubscribeStar has been an alternative crowdfunding site for creators and is now gaining recognition since the Patreon controversy. Patreon has been banning creators that have not violated their terms of service. Google Algorithm Update March 28, 2018? Unconfirmed Reports Say Yes

Reported from SEO roundtable and Moz the unconfirmed reports are coming in that there was possibly an update to the Google organic search algorithm. Each year, Google changes its search algorithm around 500–600 times. While most of these changes are minor, Google occasionally rolls out a "major" algorithmic update (such as Google Panda and Google Penguin) that affects search results in significant ways. For search marketers, knowing the dates of these Google updates can help explain changes in rankings and organic website traffic and ultimately improve search engine optimization. Below, we’ve listed the major algorithmic changes that have had the biggest impact on search. source link SEO Roundtable's report is similar to there version here. There may have been another update late March 27th, mostly on March 28th and through today, with the Google search rankings. I am seeing an uptick in chatter from the SEO community. It might be ongoing from the March 23rd update which is unconfirmed, that some believe are tweaks to the confirmed core update from earlier this month. Either way, there is a lot of chatter about a possible Google update over the past 24+ hours. Could this one be related to the rollout of the mobile-first indexing process? Maybe, but the weekend one was not related to that and those tracking this closely aren't thinking it is a mobile-first indexing thing. See source link here

Delta SEO Company Scamming Businesses?

For the last couple of weeks, there has been a lot of companies inquiring about invoices they seem to be receiving from a company called Delta SEO. After Googling Delta SEO it seems this company doesn't exist and is fraudulently sending emails, faxed and mailed invoices to local businesses across the country. This tactic is not new for scammers as they have been taking advantage of small businesses for years using fake invoices to con payments from unsuspecting bookkeepers & business owners this type of tactic is called Phantom debt scams. If you have received an invoice from a company called Delta SEO Agency recently and have never signed up for a service from them then I recommend not paying any invoice and reporting No matter how convincing a letter or phone call seems, check it out. Look up the real number for the government agency, office, or employee (yes, even judges) and get the real story. It’s likely to be a scam. Be suspicious if anyone — no matter who they say they are — asks you to wire money, or load a rechargeable money card as a way to pay back the debt. There’s no legitimate reason for someone to ask you to send money that way. To file a report about Delta SEO or any other company that you feel is scamming please contact the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). You can also use the complaint assistant to file a complaint here. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt [...]

Why Should I Invest in SEO & Not Just Do Pay Per Click Advertising in 2018?

Have you ever wondered, Why Should I invest in search engine optimization and not just do pay per click advertising? This is one of the most common questions digital marketers get and the answer could not be more simple. First of all, pay per click does not help your web presence become more powerful. It is a temporary solution. Search engine optimization slowly builds your website into a digital asset that is valuable and longterm. But most importantly, the sheer difference in the amount of leads that you can receive from search engine optimization is an over whelming advantage that cannot be ignored. Here is a Simple Example; Let's say that 1000 people per month type the keywords "Dallas Roofer" into Google. There will be 7 pay per click advertisers all fighting to receive 10-15% of those 1000 searches. Yes. That's Right. All the pay per click advertisers combined only receive 10-15% of the leads. So, all seven advertisers will get 1/7th of 100-150 leads! That's not enough to grow your business is it? On the other hand, the top organic results. Non pay-per click will receive over 40%! Would you rather have 10 leads per month or 400? The math and the answer are both simple. Contact us today to get Google leads coming your way.
